We understand that treatment & support can add up and become expensive over time – but the personal and financial costs of delaying or avoiding treatment can be much higher. Instead of focusing on the cost of therapy, consider what the many potential costs are of not going to treatment.
- Individual, Family, Couples & Group Psychotherapy rates vary depending on the therapist. For an exact rate, please inquire for clarification.
- For individual psychotherapy, to see a certified or licensed clinician, our out-of-pocket sliding scale range from $120 – $180 per session.
- To see one of our Master’s or Doctorate level interns, the range is $80 – $100 per session. Our psychiatric services, as well as our ADHD evaluations, range between $150 – $200 per session. We offer psychotherapy and psychoeducation group options between $30 – $50 per session.
PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE SOMATIC THERAPY RATES
Rates depend on the type of service ranging from $30-$150 per individual session or group session. Please inquire with individual practitioners for clarification, as rates vary depending on services.
The Mind Body Co-op currently accepts:
Most PPO plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, BCBS Choice, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and Optum), however at this time, we do not accept any HMO policies.
We are willing to submit billing to your insurance carrier for out-of-network benefits.
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for psychotherapy services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services or fill out this Insurance Verification Form and we will verify if your insurance covers services at Mind Body Co-op.
We recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it, and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
As a courtesy, we do NOT collect copayments or deductibles prior to or at the time of service. Our billing practice is to submit claims to your insurance for your sessions and once we receive the explanation of benefits (EOB) showing your responsibility (co-payments, deductibles, etc), we then send you a statement showing your balance and then charge the credit card we have on file for your balance due. PLEASE NOTE: Your insurer won’t pay anything if you haven’t yet met your deductible. You will be required to pay the contracted rate and that will be credited towards your deductible. If you have met your deductible, your insurer will pay their share after you’ve paid your copay.
SELF-PAY & SLIDING SCALE
Self-pay protects your confidentiality and allows you to make your own decisions about treatment – not having to rely on insurance coverage and sometimes complex networks.
We also understand that many individuals, couples, and families have a myriad of financial commitments and believe in affordable access to mental health care. Our sliding scale rates are as follows and these amounts will be charged on your credit card at the time of service:
- Nurse Practitioner (Medication Management) – $175 per session
- Doctorate Level Clinicians – $150 per session
- Master’s Level Clinicians – $130 per session
- Provisionally Licensed Clinicians – $100 per session
- Group Therapy – $30 per session
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards as forms of payment and direct payments through Venmo by clicking here.
If you are unable to attend an individual, family, or couples session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
GROUP THERAPY FINANCIAL POLICY
The commitment to group psychotherapy is different than above and requires a commitment to all schedule group psychotherapy sessions. You will be charged a missed session fee for any group psychotherapy appointment missed, even if notice is given. This is part of the commitment of group therapy.
Groups require weekly attendance and are charged even if you do not attend. Our Financial Policy states “I understand that all group therapy sessions at MBC require a commitment of weekly attendance. I understand that my insurance can not be billed if I do not attend the session. As a result, you will be charged a $30 fee for any groups that you do not attend, with or without notice.”
