Amanda Wittmer, LPC
Psychotherapist & Art Therapist
Sometimes we experience difficult events and circumstances that we don’t know how to process. These could include big transitions, traumatic events, and toxic relationships. With experiencing these events, relationships or transitions, we can feel anxious, depressed, on high alert, and not ourselves. Have you found yourself continually anxious, depressed or overall uneasy about your life and circumstances lately? Experiencing these symptoms are common when we have experienced traumatic events and therapy is a safe place to process those events and circumstances in which we feel stuck.
Change can happen and your goals can be met. Through my experience with clients, I have seen immense growth and strength, and I believe you can find that too. With working in art therapy, I have found art to bring healing and comfort. It can provide ways to work with trauma tangibly and safely, allowing you to be expressive and process experiences you have been through. I am here to facilitate this space, giving you the freedom to work through experiences and make changes at your own pace in a consistent and safe environment.
I have a graduate degree from Adler University in Counseling and Art Therapy and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have experience working with folks who experience anxiety, depression, mood disorders, have experienced trauma, PTSD or complex trauma, sexual assualt and abuse, life transitions, relationship issues and everyday challenges. At Mind Body Co-op I offer expressive art therapy and talk therapy with individuals to process everyday life or traumatic experiences.
