Elizabeth D’Amore, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Life is a long and winding road filled with adventures, challenges, and lots of unexpected twists and turns. Sometimes it feels like we are not in control of the steering wheel, and you may feel like you will lose control and crash at any moment. My goal is to work with you to regain control of the wheel. As a passenger in your mental health care I will partner with you to find the way forward so that you can arrive at your destination of peace and happiness again. My belief is that medication is only one small tool in your tool box. Medication improves symptoms so that you can fully and actively engage in therapy, which is where the hard work happens!
My name is Dr. Liz D’Amore (she/her) and I am a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Rush University specializing in Psychiatry and I have experience in critical care, emergency psychiatry, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). I treat adults of all ages and have experience working with clients who have mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, trauma disorders, psychotic disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
