Yangxi Li, LPC
Yangxi is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who offers therapy in both English and Mandarin. She graduated and received clinical training from Northwestern University with her Maters of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Yangxi believes that the cause of suffering can also be the means of release and healing. She strives to construct a holding environment that creates a safe physical and psychological space wherein clients feel more free, more seen, and more authentic, so that spontaneous interactions, feelings, and experiences can occur. Yangxi views therapy as an illuminating journey where she collaborates with clients as a fellow traveler to explore the unseen and better equipped to constant growth with self-acceptance, courage, resilience, and creativity.
Yangxi is an eclectic practitioner and her therapeutic approaches include psychodynamic, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Her integrative approach focuses on incorporating mindfulness and self-acceptance to holistically empower the connectedness of mind, body, and spirit.
