Addiction Counseling with a Trauma-Informed Therapist in Chicago
Addiction Therapist in Chicago Providing LGBTQIA+-Affirming Care
Many people seek addiction counseling when emotional overwhelm, disconnection, or persistent anxiety start to feel unmanageable—especially when navigating trauma, identity questions, or the pressure to have it all figured out. If you’ve felt minimized, misunderstood, or invisible, you deserve a space where your story is honored with care, validation, and respect.
As a trauma-informed therapist in Chicago, I work with teens and adults who are navigating:
- Anxiety disorders and chronic stress
- PTSD and complex trauma
- Addiction, co-dependency, and recovery
- Body image concerns and disordered eating
- LGBTQIA+ identity exploration and systemic oppression
My Approach
Over time, trauma can make us feel unsafe, unseen, or unworthy. However, healing is possible. My therapeutic approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. Because healing happens in connection, I aim to create a warm, secure environment where we can gently challenge internalized beliefs and build new ways of understanding and relating to yourself.
I view therapy as a co-authored process—nonlinear and deeply personal. Together, we explore and rewrite painful narratives while also reclaiming your story and making space for healing and growth. As a result, many clients feel more grounded, more connected, and more able to navigate life with clarity.
What I Offer
- Addiction and co-dependency
- PTSD and complex trauma
- Anxiety disorders and chronic stress
- Disordered eating and body image concerns
- LGBTQIA+ identity development and systemic oppression
Education & Credentials
I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adler University and my B.A. in English from Northwestern University. Over the past five years, I’ve supported clients across a range of clinical settings—from outpatient care to group therapy—and therefore bring both clinical rigor and authentic presence to my work.
Clients describe me as empathic, thoughtful, and deeply human in the therapy room. Ultimately, I’m honored to sit with people in their hardest and most transformative moments and walk with them toward healing.
