Dr. Baheia A. Derweesh is a bilingual Arabic therapist in Chicago with extensive clinical, academic, and international experience. Moreover, she completed her undergraduate degree from Birzeit University, an Ed.D. in Counselor Education from Northeastern Illinois University, and a doctoral degree in education from Argosy University.

Academic training and professional development in trauma counselingPrior to her current role at National Louis University, she served as the Student Life Acting Chair, Lead Counselor, and lecturer at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi for eight years. Moreover, Dr. Baheia worked as a Psychotherapist at the American Center for Psychiatry & Neurology from 2004–2010 and as the Care & Rehabilitation Director at the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children from 2008–2009.
