As a Psy.D. student on the Child and Adolescent Track at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, I specialize in providing comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological assessments for children (ages 3–12), teens, and emerging adults. Whether your child is struggling with attention, emotional regulation, school-related concerns, or you’re looking for clarity around a diagnosis, I aim to make the assessment process collaborative, approachable, and rooted in compassion.
I believe early insight into how a young person thinks, feels, and processes the world can empower both families and educators to offer the right support. My ideal clients are those who are open to the process—whether they’re curious about their struggles, confused by recent changes, or simply seeking answers that can lead to more effective treatment, accommodations, or peace of mind.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and am currently completing my doctoral training in Clinical Psychology. I’ve always felt drawn to helping others and believe that even one caring, consistent person can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. That value has been deeply shaped by my Catholic upbringing, my family’s support, and my own cultural experiences.
Raised in a Japanese American household, I bring lived awareness of intergenerational expectations, bicultural identity, and how cultural values shape how we express emotions and seek help. I approach every assessment with cultural sensitivity, curiosity, and respect—especially for families navigating cultural stigma around mental health.
In addition to assessment, I have interests in sports performance, ADHD, body image, social anxiety, and the impact of stress on youth development. My clinical approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from CBT, psychodynamic theory, and trauma-focused care.
I’m here to help young people and their families find clarity, understanding, and practical tools for growth.
