Dr. Kellie Rice is a psychologist, Certified Group Psychotherapist, and Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, addiction, and codependence. She is also the Founder & CEO of Mind Body Co-op, a Certified Women-Owned Business.
With over 15 years of experience in individual and group psychotherapy, Dr. Rice is a graduate of New York University and the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, where she specialized in trauma and addiction. As a result, she founded Mind Body Co-op as a space where individuals can begin healing and recovery through an integrated mind-body approach.
In addition, Dr. Rice serves as Clinical Director at Mind Body Co-op, where she leads a team of like-minded clinicians committed to helping individuals, families, and groups navigate the intersection of past experiences, present challenges, and future goals.
Clinical Training and Experience
Additionally, Dr. Rice completed her pre-doctoral internship at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center’s Childhood Trauma Treatment Program, where she gained extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with complex trauma histories.
Furthermore, she completed her post-doctoral training at Working Sobriety Chicago, working closely with individuals and families recovering from the impact of trauma and addiction. She also works with parents navigating infertility, attachment concerns, discipline, and boundary-setting.
Leadership, Teaching, and Professional Affiliations
In addition, Dr. Rice is an adjunct professor at the Adler School of Professional Psychology. She is also the past Secretary of the Chicago Center for the Study of Groups and Organizations, a member of the Training and Certification Committee for the A.K. Rice Institute for the Study of Groups and Organizations, and a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association.
Dr. Rice is an interactive, solution-focused therapist who provides support and practical feedback to help clients address life challenges effectively. Moreover, she integrates complementary methodologies to offer a highly personalized therapeutic experience tailored to each client’s needs, strengths, and goals.
Notably, Dr. Rice helps clients build on their existing strengths and move toward meaningful personal growth. She is currently pursuing EMDR Therapy certification and actively uses EMDR in trauma treatment. Additionally, she facilitates the Men’s Processing Group.
