MIND BODY CO-OP THERAPY, MEDICATION MANAGEMENT & NUTRITION COUNSELING
Build Community with Cross Cultural Understanding
Studying abroad can be both exciting and overwhelming. Many international students face unique challenges such as homesickness, cultural adjustment, isolation, identity confusion, and academic pressure—often while navigating these experiences without the familiar support systems of home. Check out this recent study that reports the benefit of group psychotherapy for International Students.
The International Student Psychotherapy Group at Mind Body Co-op provides a safe, welcoming, and culturally sensitive space where students can connect with peers who truly “get it.” Our group is led by former international students, who personally and professionally understand the experience. Together, members share lived experiences, build resilience, and strengthen their sense of belonging while adjusting to life in a new country.
This group is designed for international students who:
- Want a nonjudgmental space to share experiences with like-minded peers
- Struggle with cultural adjustment, communication barriers, or academic stress
- Experience feelings of homesickness, isolation, or pressure to succeed
- Feel caught between multiple cultural expectations or identities
- Would benefit from emotional support, coping strategies, and peer connection
- Are open to authentic conversations, guided reflection, and mutual support
Students at all stages of their journey are welcome—from first-semester newcomers to those preparing to graduate.
