If you’ve found your way here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck—and you’re not alone. Therapy can be a transformative space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you’re navigating identity questions, recovering from past trauma, or feeling out of step with your sense of belonging, I’m here to walk with you—with curiosity, compassion, and care. I am a culturally responsive, inclusive therapist who specializes in LGBTQIA+, multiracial, and trauma-affected individuals.
As Bessel van der Kolk reminds us in his revered book, The Body Keeps the Score: “Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives.” I would be honored to build a safe connection with you and support you in the creation of a life that is as meaningful as possible.
As a multiracial and pansexual therapist in training, I’m deeply committed to creating an inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive space where your story is honored. I bring my lived experience and background in advocacy to my work with clients, especially those in LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, or underrepresented communities.
Before entering the counseling field, I spent nearly a decade in journalism and the legal sector, where I focused on social justice, policy impact, and systems change. These experiences deepen my commitment to equity and influence how I show up in the therapy space—with humility, courage, and deep respect for the complexities of your lived experience.
My clinical approach integrates person-centered, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and narrative therapy with elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and solution-focused work. I view healing as a co-created journey rooted in safety, creativity, and self-compassion. I also emphasize the mind-body connection and draw from movement-based practices, yoga, and holistic wellness models.
I hold dual B.S. degrees in Legal Studies and Multimedia Journalism from Grand Valley State University and am currently completing my M.A. in Counseling at Northwestern University. I have trained with The Family Institute, a nonprofit committed to accessible care.
If you’re ready to challenge old stories, reconnect with your voice, and explore what healing can look like, I’d be honored to meet with you.
