Mandarin-speaking therapist in Chicago supporting adults who ask, “Why am I feeling this way?” or “What do I truly want in life?” Often, these questions show up during emotional stress, cultural transitions, or periods of uncertainty.

In today’s fast-changing world, emotions and relationships can shift quickly. Because of that, making sense of your inner experience may feel overwhelming. Still, with steady support, insight and clarity can begin to take shape.

As a bilingual Chinese therapist in Chicago, I work with individuals, couples, and families—especially those from immigrant and marginalized communities. Many clients come in for support with mood disorders, self-esteem concerns, interpersonal conflicts, cultural identity questions, and trauma-related experiences. Together, we explore what you’ve been carrying and what you want to change.

Instead of focusing on “fixing” you, therapy centers on understanding who you are. Over time, this process can strengthen self-trust, build emotional flexibility, and support a more authentic life.

To personalize care, I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and somatic practices. In addition, I offer therapy in both Mandarin and English, so you can express yourself in the language that feels most natural.

Group Therapy

In addition to individual therapy, I facilitate therapy groups designed to foster connection, insight, and healing within a supportive community setting.

  • Family of Origin Group offers a supportive space to explore how family-of-origin experiences affect current relationships and emotional patterns. Together, members build insight, connection, and greater clarity about themselves and their needs.
  • International Student Support Group co-facilitated with Hexin Bi, MA, LPC, C-DBT. This psychotherapy group provides international students with a culturally responsive space to process adjustment stress, identity questions, and academic pressure. Led by former international students, the group fosters connection, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Additionally, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

I currently have immediate availability for telehealth and in-person therapy with a Mandarin-speaking therapist in Chicago through Mind Body Co-op.
